Chicago Board of Trade corn futures ended lower on Thursday, pressured by a weaker-than-expected export sales report, traders said. The most-active corn futures contract hit its lowest since September 18 on a continuous basis. The US Agriculture Department on Thursday morning said that weekly export sales of corn were 494,000 tonnes, down from 1.465 million tonnes a week ago. Analysts forecasts for weekly corn export sales ranged from 600,000 tonnes to 1.1 million tonnes. The benchmark CBOT December corn contract closed above its session low after finding technical support at its 30-day moving average.
